Riding by Faith

Well every rider does ride by faith in some way. Faith in the tires. Faith in the road. Faith in their own ability to fix the carburetor when necessary.  But these groups below ride because of some tie to a religious faith.  We say- great, whatever gets you riding.

Helmet Laws by State

If you’re going for a good long ride, the kind of ride that crosses state boundaries, you need to know the law before you go. Helmet laws are just the tip of the iceberg. There are laws around licensing, fuel, tolls, etc. While there is no reason to become a biker lawyer, you could be aware before you get yourself into a mess you wish you hadn’t.

This graphic and information regarding helmet laws is from http://www.bikersrights.com  Their site is packed full of legal information about bikers, for bikers, and against bikers.  Helmet laws vary by state. http://www.bikersrights.com/states/50state.html

Know the law before you go.

Black Motorcycle Clubs

Black Riding Clubs are a response to some clubs that feel exclusive of only white guys. We made a list of women’s clubs and, wow, are there a lot!  Seems there are less Black riding clubs. Maybe it is because guys are guys. And very likely, most motorcycle clubs are more inclusive and diverse than the reputation. But we know that. Motorcycle riders are way more diverse and unique than a few movie and old news stories lead people to believe.
This is the complete list:      http://blackmotorcycleclubs.us/

Women’s Motorcycle Clubs

Alright women- check out this list of Women’s Bike Clubs. There are many and more starting all the time. If you can’t find one near you, maybe you should create one. Be the change you wish to see. That’s how we started this website. We couldn’t find a site that gave us all the information we wanted. So we are trying to make it.  But good grief it takes a lot of time and work. So much farther to go.  Maybe starting a MC of your own will take less time. At least it means you get to ride more. You should make that a requirement.

Clubs’ websites.

Biker Events for 2018

They are popping up all over. It doesn’t have to be a giant motorcycle rally or biker festival to be fun. Pick a destination, a weekend and find a biker-friendly event. But other than the same ole vendors, concerts, and bars, find more of the local fun. Every town has something special to offer. Find it. Tell us.

We will create a list of ‘regular’ events. Ride there and enjoy the town from another perspective. part of our hope is to ‘normalize’ riding. Ride everywhere for any reason.

Here’s a beginning to a comprehensive biker event list. We will list the state specific lists first and then the national lists.  We will scour the internet so you don’t have to. Check back often so you can have this list at your finger tips for your next trip.

Motorcycle Resolutions

Most resolutions the media will talk about will be promises to eat better, exercises more. yeah yeah. How about our rides? Who among us doesn’t believe riding makes us healthier, happier, and better humans?

For most of the United States, these aren’t the best days for riding. Erie was hit with snow  deeper than most bikes. But while others are joining gyms, and others are buying more vegetables, how are you preparing for a great year of riding?
